Demon's souls help with Ostrava of Boletaria?

i saved him in 1-3 and then he walked away until he reached a few enemies who pushed him into water, i reloaded the game but the mausoleum key wasn't anywhere near his spawn point nor where he died, will he appear again in 1-4 with the key?
