My thumb is messed up and my father won't take me to a doctor. Could it cause problems?

I punched someone wrong in the skull at boxing almost a week and a half ago, I really hurt my thumb but continued on anyway, the next day it was very swollen and bruised so I thought it was broken, Now I am 90 percent sure it is dislocated considering it hurts write, text etc and I get random severe pain + I can see the bone sticking out where it shouldn't be lol xD my personal fitness teacher said it was dislocated and to see a doctor. Long story short "Doctor dad" (not a doctor) says its fine and wont take me to see a doctor...the pain is tolerable but I don t want to cause permanent damage
